Festival Style

In this blog, we'll look at what festival style is, what are the key clothing essentials to take and how to pull off the perfect look for your next festival.
Types of Festivals
Festivals are a great way to experience something new, and there are many different types of festivals to try over the summer. The most common type is the music festival, but there's also film festivals that showcase movies from around the world in various categories such as documentary, animation and short films. Cultural festivals celebrate various cultures with food tastings and performances by local artists. Food festivals feature everything from wine tasting to chocolate making demonstrations!
Key Pieces of Festival Style
Wellies
These are a must-have for any festival, whether you're attending one in the UK or elsewhere in Europe.
Denim Shorts
Denim has been synonymous with festivals since their inception, so it's no wonder that denim shorts have become an essential part of any festival wardrobe! They're easy to wear and look great on everyone from hippies to ravers alike.
Crop Tops and Bralettes
A crop top is basically just a shorter version of your regular tee shirt; they come in all shapes and sizes these days but we recommend going for something loose-fitting so you can layer up underneath when necessary (or just because). Bralettes are similar but tend to be made out of thinner material than regular bras - perfect for hot summer days! Both types can also double as swimsuits if you're planning on going swimming at any point during your trip!
Festival Makeup
Festival makeup is all about the glitter. Whether you're going to a music festival or just want to look like you've been partying all night long, there are some key elements that every festival-goer should know about.
- Glitter - Glitter is the ultimate festival accessory. It can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner or even lip gloss!
- Neon eyeshadow - Neon colours are a must have for any hippie chick who wants to stand out from the crowd!
- Lip gloss - A little bit of colour on your lips will go a long way in making sure people notice you at festivals!
- Fake eyelashes - Fake eyelashes are great for adding drama and glamour to any look (especially if it's not already dramatic).
- Highlighter - Highlighter makes everything better so why not add some sparkle where it counts?
Festival Hair
Braids and buns are great for festivals. They're easy to do, look good on everyone, and can be dressed up with accessories like bejewelled clips or head scarves. If you want to go for a more natural look, try half-up half-down braids with a headband or scarf!
Accessories
Accessories are the best way to add some extra flair to your festival look. You can choose from a wide range of options, including:
- Bandanas
- Bum bags
- Chokers
- Layered necklaces and bracelets
- Hoop earrings in different sizes and materials (gold or silver hoops are classic)
- Statement rings that can be worn on any finger
Festival Footwear
Wellies and Boots - Wellies and Boots are a must-have for any festival, and they're perfect for when it rains. They're also great for mud, so if you're going to Glastonbury and expect rain, bring some wellies!
Sandals and flip flops are another option especially if you're going to a nice hot European festival--they're easy to slip on and off when you need to go from your tent/car into the festival grounds or vice versa. If you do wear sandals or flip flops (or even ankle boots), make sure that they have some kind of grip on the sole so that you don't slip when walking through mud or puddles!
Layering
Layering is the key to festival style. You can't go wrong with a cropped jacket, kimono or hoodie. If it's warmer weather, try out a poncho or shrug!
Festival Outfits for Men
Festival outfits for men are a little bit different than women's. Men don't have to worry about what their outfit says about them, but they do need to make sure they have clothes that will keep them cool during the day and warm at night.
Here are some ideas:
Denim shorts - These are perfect for the festival season because they're comfortable and easy to move around in. They also look great with sneakers or sandals!
T-shirts - You can never go wrong with a plain white tee--they're versatile enough to wear on their own or layer under other pieces of clothing (like button-ups). Plus, they come in so many different colours!
Tank tops - Tank tops offer another simple option for guys who want something easy but stylish at festivals this summertime season; plus, tanks come in all sorts of styles including short sleeve/long sleeve options as well as solid colours versus patterned ones too!
We hope that these tips will help you to look your best when you're out enjoying yourself at one of the many festivals taking place this summer. But remember it's not just about what you wear - it's also about how much fun you have!
